Game Recap: MTL Impact 4 - ATL Silverbacks 0

The Montreal Impact scored more goals against the Atlanta Silverbacks on Sunday night, than at any time this entire season. The Impact defeated the Silverbacks 4-0 at Saputo Stadium.

Mircea Ilcu got things started in the 3rd minute of play, followed by Hassoun Camara in the 8th minute. Ilcu scored his first career goal in the NASL with his "pro" team. He was just called up from the Impact's U21 squad -- Think of this as the "minor leagues" in the NASL.

Montreal continued their goal-scoring ways in the 35th minute, when Sinisa Ubiparipovic found the back of the net. Lastly, Mignane Diouf added a goal in the 80th minute.

Let hope the Impact can ride this victory for the rest of the season and that it could be a sign of things to come. With the amount of disappointment (in-terms of the team's results thus far) a 4-0 victory could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

The
Minnesota Stars will be traveling to Montreal later this week. The Stars take on the Impact at Saputo Stadium this Saturday, August 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

A few other notes from the game:
- Goalie Evan Bush saved eight shots in this contest to help notch his fourth shout-out of the season.

- Eduardo Sebrango passed 10,000 career minutes with the Impact this weekend and became the 12th player in team history to reach the feat.

- The Impact have played four games in the last 15 days.
