The Montreal Impact followed up their 4-0 win last week with a 2-0 victory over the Minnesota Stars at Saputo Stadium on Saturday.
The team received goal contributions from Ryan Pore in the 45th minute and Eduardo Sebrango in the 83rd minute.
More importantly in my eyes, was the fact that the Impact got 10 points out of a possible 15 on this five-game homestand ( 3wins - 1loss - 1draw).
“The players were focused on the work they had to do and we saw team unity today,” Nic De Santis the Impact head coach and sporting director told the team website. “We worked hard for every ball, we created a lot of movement and we dictated the rhythm of the game. We must continue to play and manage the game the same way during the upcoming games on the road. We have to show up with the same mindset and with heart."
Montreal's keeper, Evan Bush, saved eight shots on the day as he notched his fifth shutout on the year.
Now the Impact face a three-game road trip, starting with a second consecutive game against the Stars. Montreal will take on Minnesota next Saturday, August 27 at 8pm ET.
