Impact's technical plan for 2012

The team's number one problem they want to solve heading into next season's jump to MLS, is finding a head coach. This is according to Joey Saputo (team president), Nick De Santis (sporting director) and Matt Jordan (director of soccer operations).

All three met with the media this week at a press conference to discuss the 2012 plan.

Something I have been waiting for, for a long time was news about the expansion draft! That news is finally here. The Impact will be holding their expansion draft two days after the MLS Cup. How does this work you ask? Each MLS squad will protect 11 players. Then Montreal will be able to select a total of 10 players from the "unprotected" list.

The 2012 MLS SuperDraft for college players trying to make it to the MLS level, willl be held in January. The Impact will have the first pick in each round of the draft.

Hope this news gets you as excited for Montreal Impact MLS soccer as it does for me! Always feel free to hit me up on Twitter: @MLSinMONTREAL.
