Impact Head Coach Resigns

The Montreal Impact announced Tuesday that their head coach, Marc Dos Santos, has officially resigned.

Nick De Santis, the current sporting director has been given the interim tag.

Pépé, Montreal Impact: Montreal: Ex-MTL Impact head coach Marc Dos Santos
The Impact currently sit second-to-last in the NASL standings, at a record of 2 wins - 7 losses - 3 draws.

As I stated in a previous article, "They(the Impact) need to turn this ship around soon so the club can have positive momentum going into their inaugural season in MLS play.

Montreal Impact President Joey Saputo
echoed those thoughts earlier today.

“This is too important of a year to let it go like this,"
Saputo told the Impact's official website. "From the start of the season, I said it was important to finish our journey in second division on a positive note in order to start MLS on a high. Our goal today hasn't changed, we want to make the playoffs and get as far as possible.”

I really, really would like to see the Impact be able to get on a little role to the end season. Jumping up to the U.S.' first division will be exciting, but it would be that much more exciting if the team ended the season with momentum. I believe that would create an even bigger buzz in Montreal and the surrounding areas that are hungry for MLS soccer!
