Game Recap: P.R. Islanders 2 - MTL Impact 1

Pépé, Montreal Impact: Players from the Impact and Islanders battle for possession

The Montreal Impact lost 2-1 in their trip to Puerto Rico this past weekend.

The Islanders began the scoring in the 24th minute by midfielder Aaron Pitchkolan.

The Impact then tied the game in the 35th minute by a goal from Amir Lowery.

Puerto Rico tailed the winning goal less than three minutes after the Impact drew even.

Striker Nicholas Addlery scored the goal for the Islanders.

Impact goalie BIll Gaudette had to leave the game in the 42nd minute because of an ankle injury, after making contact with two Islander players.

On a positive note, Ali Gerba has played extremely well for his Canadian National Team during CONCACAF Gold Cup play.

He currently leads his Canadian side in goals scored with two.

The Impact will return to Montreal and play their final seven of 10 NASL games at home at Saputo Stadium.

Their next game will be against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on June 18. Kickoff from Saputo Stadium is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET.
