Game Recap: FC Tampa Bay 3 – MLT Impact 0

FC Tampa Bay scored more than one goal for the first time all season and they beat the Montreal Impact 3-0 Saturday night in St Petersburg, FL at Al Lang Stadium.

The Impact continued their losing ways VS a scrappy bunch from Tampa Bay as they are now 0-2-1 vs FCTB on the season. M.Diouf goes up for a header with FCTB player
Warren Ukah scored in the 40th minute for FCTB, Mike Ambersley added a goal in the 74th minute (on a penalty kick) and Tsuyoshi Yoshitake scored off a long cross in the 84th minute.

Montreal played a man down from the the 73rd minute on when Leonardo Di Lorenzo was given a red card for blocking a shot near the post with his arm.

FCTB thought the ball crossed the line and should be awarded with its second goal. The referee disagreed and gave Tampa Bay a pentaly kick and sent off the Impact midfielder in the process.

Tonight's victory marked FCTB's first since their opening match of the season - ironically it was against the same Montreal squad.

Next Saturday May 28, the Impact will play in Florida for a second consecutive week as they take on the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Kickoff from Lockhart Stadium is set for 7:30pm ET.
