Game Preview: MLT Impact @ F.L. Strikers Montreal head coach Marc Dos Santos
The Montreal Impact will play its seventh game of the season this Saturday May 28 VS the Fort Lauderdale Strikes. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm ET from Lockhart Stadium and live streaming can be found here (at

The Impact will try to bounce back from two consecutive losses and improve its current 1 win-1 draw-4 loss record.

On May 21, they lost to the Carolina RailHawks and last Saturday they lost to FC Tampa Bay by a score of 3-0.

On a real sour note, Montreal has one victory in their last six games. Even though the team has been playing poor on the pitch as of late, head coach Marc Dos Santos believes there has been many positives in practice.

“There was a lot of positive this week,” Santos said. “We must make sure to always play the right way, which will give us a better chance to win. That wasn’t the case against Tampa Bay. I think we have progressed a lot in the last few days, from our training sessions, to our team meetings and also the players’ reaction. I would be surprised to not see the team react positively on Saturday against Fort Lauderdale.”

The Impact's best player, striker Ali Gerba, was called up to the Canadian International team for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup and because of this he will be missing this Saturday's contest. The Gold Cup will be held from June 5 to June 25 in the US.

The Impact will also be missing midfielder Leonardo Di Lorenzo, as he will be serving his mandatory one-game suspension following his red card last week.
